Lorna will be a Mayor that works for every part of the City of Rockingham.
Each part of the City of Rockingham has its own unique challenges and issues which needs to be dealt with.
I will be a Mayor that will be active and listen to residents from all parts of our City to hear about issues and tackle it quickly.
Here's my positive plan for change, along with the detail that's specific to each part of our City:
Vote for lower rate rises and reduce the burden on ratepayers.
Stop the junkets and wasteful spending in Council.
Upgrade our ageing infrastructure & important community and sporting facilities.
Fix our roads and dangerous intersections.
Continue to work with the State and Federal Governments to bring further investment in our City.
Rockingham/Safety Bay Ward includes the suburbs of East Rockingham, Hillman, Rockingham, Peron, Garden Island, Cooloongup, Safety Bay, Shoalwater, Waikiki, Warnbro and Port Kennedy.
My plan to improve Rockingham/Safety Bay Ward:
➡️ Lead our Council to make better decisions on rates spending, stop junkets and increase credit card controls
➡️ Keep improving community safety by installing more CCTV and increasing Smartwatch patrols
➡️ Redevelop Aqua Jetty for all residents to enjoy and increase access for learn-to-swim programs for families
➡️Deliver major upgrades to facilities at Mike Barnett Sporting Complex and Safety Bay Yacht Club
➡️Work with the State government to deliver Cape Peron Park for residents and visitors enjoyment
➡️Seek investment for a Tourist Caravan Park and dump point
